Yatra Overview
The Chardham Yatra is one of the holiest and most spiritually uplifting pilgrimages in India, covering four sacred shrines nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Each dham is dedicated to a different deity and holds immense religious significance in Hinduism. The Yatra not only offers spiritual solace but also takes travelers through some of the most scenic landscapes in Uttarakhand — gushing rivers, dense forests, high mountain passes, and traditional Himalayan villages.
The 10-day journey typically starts from Haridwar or Dehradun and follows a clockwise circuit. Pilgrims experience both devotion and adventure as they trek to temples, witness evening aartis, and bathe in holy rivers. It is ideal for those seeking spiritual fulfillment and a deeper connection with the Himalayas and Indian heritage.
Yatra Highlights
- Visit the sacred temples of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
