Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Dehradun to Raithal
Our day starts with a filling breakfast to prepare us for the trek to Gui. We'll take a photo at the Dayara Bugyal entry point before heading towards Gui. Along the way, we’ll pass landmarks like the Nag Devta temple, Water Point, and a special tree where people leave offerings. The 5-kilometer trek goes through green forests full of local plants and animals. In spring, rhododendrons bloom, adding color to the path. The trail is easy to follow, and after a few hours, we’ll reach Gui, where we’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Srikanth and Gangotri peaks.
Day 02: Raithal to Gui
Today, we start our journey from Gui to Dayara Top, a 12-kilometer round trip. The trail leads through Chilapada to Dayara Bugyal. After a final steep climb, we reach Dayara Top, rewarded with 360-degree views of peaks like Bandarpunch, Kala Naag, Srikanth, and the Gangotri ranges. The entire Dayara Bugyal stretches out below in all its glory. Each season brings its own charm to Dayara. In spring and summer, the meadows are lush with grass and wildflowers. In June, herds of sheep pass through. In autumn, the land turns a warm orange, while winter blankets it with snow, perfect for snow trekking and skiing. After enjoying a few hours at Dayara Top, we’ll return to Gui Campsite by evening, ending a thrilling day of exploration in the beautiful Dayara Bugyal.
Day 03: Gui to Dayara Top and back to Gui
Today marks our departure from Gui as we make our way back to Raithal. Descending through the 5-kilometer trail, we anticipate a descent lasting approximately 2 to 3 hours. Retracing our steps through the forested trails, we will once again traverse familiar paths to reach Raithal. Upon arrival, take some time to rest before we embark on the journey back to Dehradun, a drive that typically spans 6 to 7 hours.
(Note: It is advisable to plan your return journey after 9 PM to account for potential delays due to traffic. Having return tickets booked for after 9 PM ensures a smoother transition.)
